need help figuring out VRR setting

Just bought a 2024 75” Roku Pro Series TV, model 75R8B5/75R8BX. It showed in the listed features that it has the VRR capabilities which was one of the reasons i chose this tv. When trying to turn the VRR option on in my PS5 settings it says that my tv doesn't support it. I have a high quality certified 2.1 hdmi cable hooked to it. Im assuming there is a setting to change on the tv but haven't been able to locate it yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out. We'd like to provide further information about this. 

    Kindly ensure you've plugged in your PS5 directly on HDMI ports 1 or 2, as these are the only ports that support HDMI 2.1. The HDMI 3 and 4 are not supported. 

    In addition, what specific cable are you using?
