My USB Power Cable with Long-range Wi-Fi® Receiver Broke with Normal Use. How to get replacement?

I have a Roku Streaming Stick+ (Serial number: YH009F072944).

The USB Power Cable with Long-range Wi-Fi® Receiver broke. The place where the wires plug into the streaming stick+ frayed.

This happened through normal use, which is to say, just being plugged into the stick, which is plugged into my TV.

Because of the way the stick fits into the back of my TV, the wires were coming up over the top of my streaming stick instead of hanging down from it. I assume that is what stressed the wires, as I am not in the habit of moving the stick.

As this seems to be a flawed cord if it frays without even being moved, how can I get a free replacement?

The serial number doesn't help us. We need to know your model number.

Roku only offers a replacement cable with the WiFi receiver for one model, the 3820/3821 ( I know that's two model numbers, but it's the same basic device). However, even that one is shown as Out of Stock on the Roku products page. It's been out of stock for some time, so I have no idea when it might be available again.

If you have a 3820/2821, you could wait until Roku gets it back in stock. If you have any other model, or don't want to wait on Roku, then perhaps you can find one on eBay or other online site. Just make certain the product offered will work on the model you have.
