my roku voice remote just stopped working

Ive never had any issue with it before, and I put new batteries in, still nothing. I can't do anything with it. I am currently using the remote on my mobile app (on phone). any advice? magical info?

    It seems that you're attempting to re-pair your Roku voice remote. No need to worry; we're here to help! Before we move forward, please check what type of Roku voice remote you have. (Refer to the picture below

    Note: If your voice remote has a pairing button, it will be located either on the back of the remote or under the battery cover. 

     If your voice remote does not have a pairing button, press and hold the Back and Home buttons for 5 seconds to pair the remote.

    Here are some troubleshooting steps that can help you resolve the issue:

    Since you have the Roku mobile app installed, or another Roku remote that works with your streaming device, use the following steps to put your device into pairing mode from the Settings menu.

    1. Press Home on your working remote or from the Roku mobile app
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select Remotes & devices
    4. Select Add devices
    5. Select Remote
    6. Select Continue
    7. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your voice remote again.
