My regular TV, my Roku remolt from another tv

I don't have a smart TV so I bought a Roku box at Goodwill. Neither had a remolt, but I had a remote from another Roku TV. So I connected my Roku box to my non-smart TV and the Roku menu comes up well it's not the roku menu it's the home menu for the TV but you can tell the roku's connected to it because it has Netflix to the right Roku and all that stuff okay how do I get internet to both of those devices if it isn't there already and connect them my other roku remote so i I can watch tv. thank you for your any help!

    Roku TV remotes don't work on Roku boxes and vice versa.  What's the model number written on the Roku device somewhere?  Depending on the model, it may not be supported anymore and may not be worth buying a remote.
