Missing TV Inputs in Settings

Hi everyone, "TV Inputs" is supposed to be under settings. It is missing from my settings. How do I find it?  I'm trying to use my antennae with my Roku and the Roku website says to do the following but I don't have TV Inputs under settings:

  1. Connect the coaxial cable from your HDTV antenna to the “Ant/Cable In” connector on the back of your Roku TV.
  2. Turn on your Roku TV, go to Home and select Live TV. If Live TV is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up input.
  3. Follow the instructions on the TV screen to complete setup.

Thanks for raising your concern with us. Please be aware that when you plug in an external device on your Roku TV, you can directly find it on your Home screen.

Navigate on your Home screen and press the upward button on your remote; it will be labeled as HDMI 1, HDMI 2, or AV. Furthermore, here's our Support article to further help your Roku TV to recognize the external device.

Let us know how it goes! We'll be looking forward to your update.

    Kind regards,

We understand that you have an inquiry on how to stream the NFL football games on your Roku device.

In this matter, we recommend visiting our Roku Blog for more information about streaming NFL games.

Please let us know if there are other related issues we can look into further.

    All the best,

I have the TV inputs, but only says Antennae.  Wanted a shortcut to Antennae, which I have and do not have the Live TV as stated.  I DO have a ROKU TV.

Thank you very much for your reply!  I since learned that I need a Roku TV for this to work.  Thanks again!

Do you have an actual RokuTV?  Not a little box or stick connected to your TV.

Thank you, after reading more into it, I realized this option was only for those who have a Roku TV.  I wish Roku would take down the video under tips & tricks - it doesn't show that you have to a Roku TV.  I appreciate the reply :)

If I don’t have a Roku tv, how do I access the input settings?

Why is this considered a solution, it is a f****ng question, not an answer.  S**t site with no solution, I am working with a Roku TV with 2 items plugged into two inputs, still can't find the settings!!! At a friend's house...  Have an older TCL Roku TV at home, never had a problem finding inputs... Companies are purposely making technology worse year by year to nickel and dime us, f**k these companies, bring back amazing tech from 2013!

I'm having the same issue. Options for antenna tv, and hdmi are not listed channels on the home screen. I've gone to settings, but there is no selection for "tv input". Does this only work for actual roku tvs and not ones with the roku box?

  • I have a Roku tv and cannot get cable linked. If Live TV is missing, you can add it by going to Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up input. When doing this suggestion I do not get LIVE TV to show. All I get is all the Inputs that is does have and to be able to remove them. Nothing found to add a Input

  • You said: Settings > TV inputs > Live TV > Set up    But, I have no Set up choice.  Please help!

My cable input used to be there.  But, it disappeared somehow.

chowza, are you using a cable box or is the cable connected to the antenna input of the TV.  A cable box wouldn't be listed under "Live TV".

What is so difficult to understand and explain???
        I have 2 Roku TVs.
        Both worked fine.
Under Settings, there was a choice for TV Inputs.
You went there and can add, delete, rename etc.
Pressing the Home button on any remote showed the TV Input choices you made, above the channels.

        Fast forward.
        Added 2 Streamers.
A Roku Ultra to 1, and a Roku Ultra Lt to the other.
Both are connected to HDMI inputs on the Roku TVs themselves.
        Installation goes smooth.
        Then, turn on TVs.
Both do not show TV Inputs on home Screen.
Both do not show a choice in settings for TV inputs.
Both force your TV into Roku input while watching the cable box input.

Both will show inputs in settings and on home screen if I use an old remote.

So, the new streaming boxes make the TV Inputs disappear.
What is so hard to understand?
Stop telling people to go to settings, then blah blah blah.
EVERYONE has said there no longer is a choice under setting saying TV Inputs with the new Streamers installed. Not unless you don't use them and use the old remotes to power on and "press up" to see Inputs, or "Go to Settings and choose TV Inputs blah blah blah"

        They are gone. Missing.
Please address the problem Thank You.

  • What if input in settings is missing I can't even add it cause it's not there?

RachelR2014, do you have a Roku TV (an actual TV) or the Express device that's shown in your post?  Only TVs have input settings.
