Lock up Roku voice consent page

So we had to replace our remote because our dog use it as a toy. I did not buy a pro remote. I just bought a voice remote but for some reason every time I try to get past this screen since I bought my new remote, it goes to this page where it asked me if I understand, but the remote will not Work to switch to I understand or consent to what they are saying I tried rebooting the TV by unplugging it and re-plugging it. I unplugged the Roku player which is just an express, but nothing seem to work. I tried the other remote that I have in my other room, downstairs that the dogs haven’t gotten to yet any help I would appreciate it since I can’t get past that screen, I cannot even go to the home screen to even reboot to try to see if I can upgrade the software.

    First, make sure to check if there's a pairing button on your Roku remote:

    Use the following steps to put your voice remote in pairing mode during setup:

    1. Remove the battery pull-tab, on the back of your voice remote
    2. If the status light does not flash, press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds or until you see it begin to flash.
      NOTE: If the remote doesn't have a pairing button, press and hold both Home and Back on the front of your voice remote for 5 seconds.
    3. The status light will flash to indicate your Roku voice remote is in pairing mode

  • This has nothing to do with the Battery.  Same problem here with 2 different fully charged #rechargeable #remotes
    My favorite Roku Ultra will not all me to skip or disregard this #Voice Consent screen.
    The Voice #switch is in the ##OFF position I do not use it
    what’s going on here Roku?

      Had the same problem.  Press the OK button and I understand should then be checked and you move down to finish by pressing the down arrow and then OK.

        Hi there jjobuild,

        Thanks for the response. 
        I realize that is the text on the screen. 
        But What about those that don’t understand or agree with the text statement? That stop screen effectively made My Favorite Roku Ultra 1 of 3 totally unusable. 🧐😕

      Thanks for letting us know!

      It seems you're stuck on the Roku voice consent prompt. Please try unplugging the Roku Ultra along with its power cord, and wait for 10 to 15 seconds before plugging it back in. Once it is powered on, attempt to pair the remote again. Hope this helps!
