Is it possible to jump from one channel to another without scrolling?

I just installed Roku this past Saturday. I like it, and my husband is slowly learning how to use the remote. However, I'd like to know if I can go from channel to channel without constant scrolling?

    Switching between channels on your Roku device depends on which app you are using. The Roku Live TV Channel Guide features over 500 free live TV channels available on The Roku Channel. You can change channels by using the arrow buttons on the remote.

     

    To open different apps on Roku, simply press the Home button, navigate to your app list, and select the app you want to access.
