I have found a way to have a default app open on the startup of Roku

Place the app you want to start upon turning on in the top #1 position

Go to Home

Go to settings

Go to System

Go to Power

Go to Power On

Choose the app you want to start upon turning on.

What type of device are you using. Under Power I only see "Power Saving" and "System Restart"

  hwilson1627, only TVs have a "Power on" setting and I believe it only lets you choose the HDMI input. antenna, or Home Screen (not an actual app).

You can auto start an app of your choice if you have the Roku ultra or maybe others. There are numbers 1 and 2 above the auto launch buttons of Netflix, hbo/max ect when you are in Roku, it can be on the Home Screen hold the number button for 5 seconds and you can scroll though till apps, select that and choose your app you want to auto launch
