Solved

I have found a way to have a default app open on the startup of Roku

Place the app you want to start upon turning on in the top #1 position

Go to Home

Go to settings

Go to System

Go to Power

Go to Power On

Choose the app you want to start upon turning on.

  • What type of device are you using.  Under Power I only see "Power Saving" and "System Restart"

hwilson1627, only TVs have a "Power on" setting and I believe it only lets you choose the HDMI input. antenna, or Home Screen (not an actual app).

  • You can auto start an app of your choice if you have the Roku ultra or maybe others. There are numbers 1 and 2 above the auto launch buttons of Netflix, hbo/max ect when you are in Roku, it can be on the Home Screen hold the number button for 5 seconds and you can scroll though till apps, select that and choose your app you want to auto launch
