How to remove a recorded voice every time I stream,download,click on a channel,you tube?

I have a 65" Samsung HDTV. I've been using ROKU for years without a problem. Suddenly a recorded voice appears announcing where I already know the object of my search. The only way to stope or block it is with my mute button and wait for the object to start talking,etc. It's annoying the **bleep** out of me. I just need to remove it. Can I do it with my 3+ year old remote with no power button,n t just a left arrow and home button , below mwhich are 4 directional arrows with an OK  in the center a star and curved arrow.

Do I need to get a newer remote?  Help!
