I just saw this when I was trying to figure out the same issue. Here's the answer. Arrow left. Move to the favorites menu. Highlight the first favorite channel. Press the ok button until the channel is on. Now you should only see your favorite channels when you arrow up and down.

Hi 3lliot,
Thanks for your first post to the Roku Community!
We understand your concerns about filtering your favorites list using the Channel Guide feature on your Roku device.
You can filter the Live TV Channel Guide to display all channels (minus any hidden channels), an automatically generated list of recently watched channels, or your favorite channels.
When the channel guide is filtered, only the channels that are part of the filtered view appear. Use the following steps to filter the channel guide:
- Open the Channel options menu
- Select Filter
- Choose All channels, Recents, or Favorites
For more detailed information, visit our support article about using Roku's Live TV channel Guide.
Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
All the best,

that's not what I asked. I know *how* to add favourite channels, I asked why the tv guide doesn't *default* to favourite channels when you open the guide.

Exactly! I would like to have Favorites be the default channel list as well.
Currently, All Channels is the default channel list whenever I open the Live TV app on my Roku TV.
I have gone to the trouble of setting my favorite channels. However, I'm continually having to switch from the All Channels list to Favorites list whenever I press the left arrow to view my TV guides. What is the point of Favorites if I can't use it as the default list??
