Ok so I get home today and I have a 4 grid layout on my Roku tv. I’m not gonna lay and say it’s hard to read, I mean it’s not the easiest to read, it’s just I wasn’t given the option as to if I wanted my tv changed without my permission. Now I’m all for if it’s in the settings column and I’m playing around with the design trying to see if it’s better and it’s not. How do I fix this foolishness? Help anyone.

I hate this layout and to top it off there's a continue watching bs above it. Not only is it now harder to see the icons but idc what my other rokus in the house are watching and no I don't want to continue. Don't they get that people have more than 1 tv in their home? It's not the 1950s. I'll search for my own show I want to watch not continue watching what my elderly mother was watching some 1970s movie from her room and now have to hear her complaints that she can barely see the icons on her tv several times a day. No she don't want her 32in TV talking to her, it causes her to freak her out when she's having a bad day with her dementia and don't understand why there's a robot alien hiding inside her TV trying to talk to her. Let us have the options to make icons smaller or larger if we want and to turn off that stupid continue watching **bleep**

This is apparently something Roku has rolled out to a handful of users. From what I've heard, there's no way to alter the settings of the grid. Judging by the complaints I've heard about it, hopefully Roku will roll it back and restore the 3x3 grid. I haven't seen it on any of my players, including some that are part of the beta test program.

Just saw the updated layout on my roommates TV. I am not a fan of it either. At the bare minimal, allow an option between 3x3 and 4x4.

The new layout is terrible. Roku fails to respect that I own my Roku and they keep forcing garbage on the home screen. Recently the search bar, then the Continue Watching now a 4 icon row.
I have 6 TVs, two have Roku built in and 4 have Roku ultras attached. After the forced continue watching we are starting to look for alternative devices to start replacing the Ultra's.
Roku can offer options in their software but I should be able to turn it off.
Roku was a great user centric company and now they are just as bad as Amazon Stick and thats not a compliment.

It is random testing right now. To be honest, unless you have a very small screen, the old 3x3 grid is out of date and very huge. Most of the apps have different enough icons that you can still easily tell what is what. To be honest, it looks like the icon sizes at 4x4 are roughly the same, or maybe still a bit bigger, than a Fire TV in apps screen mode.

Any one know if they will fix this we can't see whole screen on TV now. Can't see side menu on side or even read full descriptions about the movies. If they don't fix yhis soon we'll be looking for new device.

This should only affect the size of the icons to fit more. It should not affect anything else. Are you sure you didn't accidentally put the TV in some Zoom mode by mistake?

I have TVs ranging from 36" to 86". The grid layout should be selectable. The 4 icon row on the small TVs is too crowded. Want to help that, reduce the ad size.
As for comparing it to the Fire stick as a positive, why? Compare what was the best to whats the worst is not a compliment.

I have a 65" 58" Roku TV and a 50" with a Roku device and I love it! The three columns on the larger tv's appear to be oversized. The four columns accommodates the screen and the overall interface better. The problem I am having is the update keeps jumping back and forth between the two sizes. But I can possibly see where on a smaller screen it would be a problem, a perfect example would be mobile phone apps. But I love the four column please keep it for the larger Roku TVs.

Out of date and very huge? Says who? No one agrees with you.
