How to add a small Chromium browser

How do we jailbreak these things so we can add a small chromium browser, even my nintendo wii u has a browser lol (sorry if English bad, not my first language)

  • Welcome, dicknballz43

You said you want to add a small Chromium browser to your Roku.

Quick heads-up: Roku doesn’t support a native web browser, so you can’t install Chromium directly. Instead, you can cast a browser from your phone, tablet, or computer to your Roku screen.

There is no known way to "jailbreak" a Roku. And even if you could, there's no available apps that you could install because the OS is proprietary. If you are thinking you can take an Android APK file and install it, no such luck. Roku does not use Android in any form.

Have you ever tried using a browser on a device that doesn't offer a keyboard and mouse/touchpad? It's a very painful experience, and frankly not worth the bother. I have a TV or two with browsers built in, and after trying it once I forgot about it. As mentioned, screen mirror your phone or tablet and enjoy a much better experience.

I am also pretty sure that the manufacturer of the OS is not going to help you "Jailbreak" their own devices either or allow users to post information about doing it either.

Roku devices don’t support adding the Chromium browser, as their operating system is designed specifically for streaming apps—not general web browsing.
