How do I know which Remote Pro was shipped? Didn't realize a "2nd Edition" existed!

I recently ordered a "2nd" remote (July 14, 2024) because the "original" Voice Remote Pro has terrible battery life, when it works its great with a pair of wired earbuds (Samsung) my "go to" when watching my Roku Set.  My invoice has NO indication what version was shipped?  As of this post it hasn't arrived yet, so I hope the "powers that be" sent me a newer "2nd edition".
The other "complaint" is with "advertising" all sources on the web, don't show the "2nd edition" with a '"wired" earphone, so I must assume a wired earphone isn't supported?  Roku doesn't have a "phone number for voice support?? Am I missing something? A little frustrated!  Phillip Meza

    I'd expect the invoice to specifically call it 2nd Edition if that's what was ordered.

    Be careful what you wish for.  If you get the 2nd Edition, you'll find it has no earphone jack, so if you want to use it for remote listening you'll have to get some Bluetooth earphones.

    It does now have backlit keys and supposedly a rechargeable battery with more capacity.  The programmable keys are different too.
