Hisense ROKU repeatedly reboots

My 50r6e3 Hisense ROKU TV suddenly started repeatedly rebooting on its own. It gets stuck on the initial “Hisense Roku ” screen, then goes black, and the cycle repeats.

I’ve tried using the reset button and unplugging the power, but neither worked. I've spent hours chatting and speaking with both HISENSE and ROKU support and they were no help. Both tell me to contact the other for resolution - which I have done multiple times;

I tried checking for a firmware update on Hisense’s website, but my TV’s serial number doesn’t appear in their database.

I also tried the ROKU USB firmware download but it requires a 12 digit serial number but mine is 15 digits - 50G20140IH09753.  I tried deleting the leading and trailing 3 digits but no success. Also, I need but since the tv won't boot I can't locate the DEVICE ID (a 5 digit alpha numeric code).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for the reply.

    That's the serial number listed on the label on the back of the TV and it matches what was on the box the TV came in. But yeah, it doesn't seem to be correct as neither the Hisense or ROKU websites accept it. Thanks for the 5 digit codes, but since it asks for a 12 digit serial number and mine is 15 digits, I can't get that far.

    My account on https://my.roku.com shows NO DEVICE. Since it reboots immediately as it shows the initial HISENSE ROKU logo I can't get to the home screen.

    Yes I've tried the factory reset by pressing the inset button on the back of the tv multiple times. I also tried the recovery mode. Neither worked. The tv continues to repeatedly reboot.  I'm really annoyed and frustrated.

      Hi BluZee

      We noticed that your Hisense Roku TV keeps rebooting. Thank you for attempting to troubleshoot.

      We’d like to share this with our team for further investigation. Before we proceed, please provide the exact serial number and device ID of your Hisense Roku TV. These numbers are 12 digits long and can typically be found on a label on the back of the TV. Please check again and let us know.

      Looking forward to your reply.

        The exact serial number S/N 50G20140IH09753 is listed on the label on the back of the TV and it matches what was on the box the TV came in. But yeah, it is 15 digits not 12 and neither the Hisense or ROKU websites accept it. On the box, under the S/N is LaA2004634

        The UPC code is 12 digits?  819130025537

        I don't see any DEVICE ID listed anywhere on the label or on the box.  The tv reboots immediately on start up as soon as the initial HISENSE ROKU logo loads and doesn't give me time to connect the ap so the app says NO DEVICE and I can't get to home to look for DEVICE ID in settings.

        Thanks for your attention to this matter.

    That doesn't look like the right serial number.  Go onto your account at https://my.roku.com and find the TV under "My devices".  Click on it and it should show the serial number.  You'll also need the 5 digit code which I think is either C222X or C246X for a Hisense 50R6E3.

    I always have my doubts that one of these TVs that won't boot will be able to update its firmware.  Have you tried a factory reset?
