I’m trying to set my Apple HomePod as the TV speaker. I connected the hdmi cable to the arc input and also tried to enable it on settings of TV and Apple TV. At the Roku menu, when I search for CEC devices, the TV don’t find any device connected. Any suggestions? Thanks!
ARC and CEC are two different things, the only thing they have in common is they use the HDMI cable as a data path. I will say that in many devices CEC has to be enabled for ARC to function. I haven't looked at a Roku TV menu in quite some time, but on Roku players the CEC setting is labeled 1-touch play. It's under Settings/System/Control other devices.
First, make certain you've connected the HDMI cable to the correct ARC port on the TV. If there are multiple HDMI ports, only one will support ARC. It should be clearly marked on the port, and it often is NOT port #1.
