HDCP Error 020 on new Roku Ultra

Replaced very old roku device that stop working and displaying "no internet connection".  I connect with Ethernet 5e.  Purchased new Ultra less than 2 months ago, $99; has Ethernet connectivity.  Replaced CAT 5e cable with 6a.  Setup went OK.  Tried to stream ANYTHING, and I get the "HDCP Error 020".

Smart TV ain't so smart, very old Visio, great bright, crisp picture, however.  Tried everything from the help support, purchased and replaced two new HDMI cables.  NFG.

Will a newer/later model TV work to correct HDCP Error 020?  

Think I can get my money back?  I now use my phone to connect to my Roku channels, then use Google Chromecast device to cast my Roku content to the TV.  eF Roku Ultra.  Want money back.  Worthless         PoS.  Thanks Roku.  Hope they read these posts.

    The problem with HDCP is that both devices/tv and the cable must be compliant and have to communicate and play nicely together. (firmware must also cooperate).

    When they don't I have no issue placing a HDMI splitter midline to ignore these HDCP requests.  A user should not have to jump through excessive hoops just to get content to play on devices/equipment they already own because of this protection scheme.

      I have personally used the one I linked to. (may want to look around for the best price on it).

      Other splitters may/may not work depending on whether they ignore HDCP requests (some do, some do not).
