Harmony can’t find Roku stick

I didn’t think you could control a Roku stick from a harmony hub remote but was at a friends house and he had it working. Came home and I select find network devices peer the instructions and no dice. Did a search and found the thread about setting advanced settings to enabled or permissive and tried both settings followed by reboots and still the harmony can’t find my roku4k stick

have a 3820R2 streaming stick 4K on 14.1 software. Any one have other thoughts?

  • Thanks for the update, Gremlin

I see that you are still having trouble setting up your Harmony remote with Roku.

I found this helpful article by Harmony to successfully set up your remote here: Harmony and Roku

If you encounter further issues, you can contact Harmony's support team and inquire for assistance in connecting their remote with your Roku device.

    Thanks,
    The Roku Community Team.

I tried powering off and on the roku, and I tried rebooting the harmony hub. I validated both Harmony and Roku are on the same subnet (10.0.0.x addresses)

I'm using a Roku Streaming Stick 4K 3820R2 on 14.1 software. Any other thoughts would be great I'd love to have this working.

I found helpful instructions on how to add Roku to your Harmony setup. Kindly follow the guideline steps in this link: Harmony Experience with Roku

Once you're all set-up, you can proceed to follow the settings setup below to ensure that your Harmony remotes remain functional with your Roku device.

    1. Go to: Settings > System > Advanced System Settings
    2. Select: Control by mobile apps
    3. Change "Network Access" to "Enabled"

Hope this helps, and let us know if you need further assistance. I'm here to help.

    Thanks,

Per my first post I have already tried this to both enabled and permissive, and neither works.

RokuTakashi So any further thoughts on this? I have three hubs on the network, none of them will see the Roku Stick. I'm trying again after the outage this weekend from the  Harmony servers.

To be clear, I've never had the Roku working with this harmony and am attempting to get it to work.
