hardwired Roku ultra briefly drops connection

We tried to alleviate brief dropouts on our Roku by connecting it directly to the router via a LAN cable. It still sometimes drops the connection (mainly on the Britbox app). If we wait 10 or 15 seconds or back arrow a few times, the show resumes. It is annoying. Is that just life with Roku?
