Guest mode does not remove credentials

We have a Roku device with Guest Mode set in a vacation home.  We login to YouTube TV, but it doesn't remove our credentials when at the end date.  When we return on a later trip, it still has our credentials available for anyone to use our YouTube TV account.  But it we use a specific sequence, it does  ask for our credentials.

1) Powered Roku on.

2) It asked for end date of Guest Mode.

3) Added YouTube TV to channel list.

4) We were automatically logged in to YouTube TV.

5) Navigated to home menu.  YouTube TV was now gone from the app list.

6) Add a random channel.  It stayed on the channel list.

7) Added YouTube TV to channel list.  It now stayed on the list.

8 ) Selected YouTube TV.  Now it asked for our credentials.

This also happened with the Prime account.  It may happen with others, but those were the only one we had logged into on our last visit.

There is obviously a bug in the Roku app.  It should drop our credentials at the end of the Guest time.  And it should not require the odd sequence above.

    Hi rhjgardner,

    Greetings from the Roku Community!

Please be advised that when you enable Guest Mode on your Roku device, your guests can sign in to apps using their own account credentials. Your guests’ credentials will be automatically removed from the device on the specified date.

Guests can enjoy free content, live TV, and music or try out any of the 10,000+ apps that Roku offers. They can also add any app from the Roku Streaming Channels Store.

With Guest Mode, your guests won’t have access to your personal streaming channel accounts or be able to use your Roku account to make purchases. Instead, they can safely use their subscriptions and not worry about remembering to sign out before they leave.

You can visit our Support article to learn more about the Guest Mode on your Roku device.

    We hope this information helps.

    Best regards,
    John

      John,

Please be advised that your response was an unresponsive robotic response.

As clearly stated in the original comment the credentials are NOT being removed.

Your response did not address the issue.

Sorry, I'm starting to use the Guest Mode, but is this secure or not?  The credentials are clean up at the check out date?
