I'm able to use power button to cut TV on and off. Also, I'm able to control my volume, but the arrow buttons, fast forward and play buttons do not work. Is there a way to fix this issue or do I need a new remote.
Additionally, remote is only two years old.
The tv volume, mute and power buttons control the TV via direct line of site via infrared signals. Those remotes with tv controls communicate with the Roku itself via wifi remote, but they must be paired with the Roku to do so. It sounds like yours has lost its pairing.

I have a brand new ROKU ULTRA and am using the ROKU Media Player to try and play videos from my camcorder using a USB stick or NTFS formatted hard drive. With AVCHD video, the play, stop, and fast forward buttons don't work. Speaking into the remote, stop and pause work. The functions do work with mp4 videos. Any thoughts?
