express 4k with tv control

can the express 4k be used with an older tv that does not have 4k.  And will the tv control work for an older tv.  I would like to have one remote for roku and tv but tv is about 10 years old.

    It supports resolutions up to 4k, meaning it can support lesser resolutions.  You may have to adjust the settings in the display for the device to match the resolution if it doesn't automatically do it, but it should work with an older TV.  As for the TV, it depends on the make and model of TV.  Most major brands shouldn't be an issue, but there are plenty of no-name budget brands that may or may not work.
