Explicit Congestion Notice (ECN) w/UDP protocol
At the moment, I have a ROKU Express Stick 4K. I am experiencing blank screens, "Unfortunately, an error occurred during playback. Please try again", and "Frequent buffering: You are experiencing streaming interruptions. To help improve streaming quality, check your network connection." I have checked network connection, had an internet provider tech replace the cables from the wall to their modem, including a new splitter. I have used the protocol monitoring software, Wireshark, and seen reports stating congestion and the lack of ECN compatibility of the hardware. Is there ANY ROKU streaming device that uses the ECN to request the far end to slow transmission? Has anyone had this problem and resolved it, and how?
