So it keeps sending you in the "Update system, updating system 1%, then can't update." Then Updates needed or available - then can't update "wait" CIRCLE OF ROKU **bleep**... Right? Are you using A $30-ish (2022) Roku Express 4K ???

Try going into the secret screen, via tapping the home button 5×'s, then FFrwd 3×'s, then Rrwnd button 2x's. And click; "cycle software update server." Thus changing "beta" to "release". It sometimes will help Land that update. If not Factory reset everything. Try it again tomorrow. If still "can't update". Return the device.

Welcome to the Roku Community, PPatete!
If you encounter Error 005 or "Can't update software. Please try again later," it means that your network connection is unstable.
Despite our reliable internet connection, occasional disruptions may occur due to speed or signal strength fluctuations. We recommend checking the number of devices currently connected to the network.
The message typically contains one of the following error codes: 001, 002, 003, 004, or 005.
Here are some recommended options to consider:
- Try rebooting the router/modem and Roku device by unplugging them from the power outlet for 20 to 60 seconds before plugging them back in.
- Explore the option of connecting to a mobile hotspot and performing the update.
