Email activation issue on Roku TV

I just got my first roku tv. Im trying to set it up but whenever I type my email (i set up an account online) it says they can’t reach me and to try the qr code. So I try the qr code and it just doesn’t load ? Then it asks me to do a factory reset and all it does is makes me try again and again and it’s stressing me out. If anyone can help it would be appreciated greatly
