Does Roku work on Vizio tv's?

I have had a Roku Ultra for years on a LG tv.  I have both a Roku Express and a Roku Ultra 2024 that I am not able to get installed so that I can turn the tv on.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  ...

    If you have a spare HDMI plug in the TV, it should be good to go.

    Thank you.  I put the Roku Ultra 2024 back on it and since there are 3 HDMI ports I changed it to one that says ARC and it seems to be all good now.  It's operating with just the Roku remote which is what I wanted it to do.  I hope it is still working in the morning.  I'm old! lol  Thanks again.

    The ARC port is mainly meant for using an audio device like a soundbar.  Although it will work for that purpose, if you are planning to add a soundbar, I would suggest the other HDMI port and reserving the ARC for a soundbar.

    I learned that this morning.  It wouldn't turn on.  So I changed it to a new HDMI port.  I believe my problem is the Inputs - there are a number of them and I don't know how to correct that problem.  Heaven knows I've tried.  Thank you!

Thank you.  I found two more ports besides the one I was using.  I put the Roku Ultra 2024 back on it and plugged it into a different port and now we are up and running (finally) and just using the Roku remote without the tv remote.  All seems to be good.  I'll check tomorrow to see if we're still operating. lol  Thank you!

        I don't have a Vizio, but most TV's will allow you to label each port in the settings.  Just make sure you note what HDMI port you plugged the Roku into and select and edit that input to say Streaming device or Roku if possible, so you can keep the ports straight when they display on the TV.  You may also have the option to automatically start the TV on that device, although it should also work if you hit the home button that the TV will switch to the Roku.  

        You can also use a voice command, in most cases, to start up your TV and Roku.  For example, I use Spectrum TV a lot so I say, "Hey Roku, open spectrum TV" and my TV will turn on and the Roku starts the app.
