Connecting. Issues phone to tv for remote

Hi I'm trying to find out why the TV isn't showing up on the app to connect as a remote to my phone. They are both under same wifi connection and also the IP address I type in it says not connected to same network

    Gils2223 Is it possible that the Roku device and the phone are on different frequencies on the same wifi?  Is one of the devices on 2.4 GHz and the other on 5 GHz?
