Colour of tv picture is red, dark. No clear

Ive just got home from work, switch on tv  and now  the picture is dark red and I can barely see the content.   Main home screne  menu seems ok.  Ive switched to different apps to watch different tv channels and  no change.  My son has gone into settings and we have found if we put into "Movies" the colour works fine.  We now have to change this every time we watch tv in different apps.  We never had to do this before.  

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
