Closed Caption will not go off

Problem started yesterday.

Sanyo tv, roku 4 thingy, You Tube to access hundreds of channels - 5 of which I actually use!

All channels thru YouTube had the captioning on.

Switch to Roku channel to watch a movie .... no captioning ...... ahaaaa!

Went to you tube community forum and found this:

You can turn off Closed Caption by:

When you are watching a program press the down arrow twice.
Third icon from the left says "CC"
You can turn if off in that menu.

And it worked .... the curse is over ..... for now!

Yes  more and more channels are not using the Roku default controls, but instead substitute their own method of access -- I'm guessing this is so they will have consistent controls with versions of their app running on platforms other than Roku. Often these options are accessed by pressing the up and/or down cursor control keys while viewing the program to pop the channel's own control options on the screen.
