Solved

Channels not loading. The home button shuts the whole tv off.

I've had this system for 5 years with the same TV. Never happened before. I have reset the remote, yet the buttons are not doing what they are supposed to.

Thanks for letting us know about the issues with your Roku remote's button functioning. No worries! We're here to suggest further troubleshooting.

In addition to what our Roku Streaming Expert provided above, you may use the Roku mobile app as an alternative to your physical remote. Let's try troubleshooting your physical remote as well.

    Reboot your voice remote

If your voice remote uses standard AA or AAA alkaline batteries, you can reboot it by removing and reinstalling/replacing the batteries.

    1. Remove the battery cover on the back of your remote
    2. Remove both batteries from the battery compartment
    3. Re-insert the negative (-) end of a battery first and then gently push the positive (+) end until the battery clicks into place
    4. Repeat the previous step to install the second battery
    5. Put the battery cover back on your remote

After doing so, re-pair your remote and try to observe the buttons if it works. Here's the support article for reference: How to fix your Roku voice remote that is not working

Keep us posted on how it goes and we'll continue assisting you from there.
