Cant use the apps and inputs section on my roku

I have a Hisense Roku tv and whenever I try to use the apps and inputs part of it the selector just immediately goes to the ad on the far right, I’ve reset the roku and it doesn’t fix it. My roku updated last night and I think that’s the cause

    Just had it happen to mine, Roku Ultra 4802X SW Version 14.0.4 Build 12221. tried reset and also disconnecting power for 2 mins both did nothing. 

    Solution that worked for me, Remove "All things Food" Item from Home Screen.

     Settings -> Home Screen -> <Item> -> Hide

    The cursor now works properly once again and I'm able to navigate and highlight all the menu items once again.

    I did NOT install any Food item to display on my Home Screen, it just appeared, likely a software push from Roku that was not thoroughly tested before being deployed to users!

    I had this same problem. I fixed it by restarting the device.

     

    Settings > System > Power > System Restart.

     

    EDIT: Nevermind it stopped working again.

    • Is there a pairing button at the back of the remote?
    • Have you tried changing the remote batteries?
    • The serial number of the Roku player to which this remote is paired.
