After connecting your mobile app to your Roku streaming device, perform a system reboot by navigating your Settings > System > System restart.

Carly - 2 years agoI'm new at this Roku Community thing - I have been having the same problem with my remote this week. I did a restart just now and it worked.
If you have a Roku TV, you can do it by going to the Home screen and clicking on Settings/System/Power/System Restart.

Thanks for posting and letting us know about this issue.
The common workaround for this is to perform a system restart. To do this, navigate to Settings > System > Power (skip this part if you don't see this) > System Restart. If you cannot do so since the remote navigates randomly, you can do a hard reset by unplugging your Roku streaming device from the power outlet for 30 seconds and plugging it back again.
