Roku Streaming Stick 4K
Cannot change display refresh rate. Have tried “Auto-adjust display refresh rate” in the settings, but it does not work. It always shows 60hz when the stream is 50hz making it not a smooth playback.
Why is there no manual adjustment for the display settings ?
Roku players have never offered refresh rate settings. There has been an occasional choice of 4K/30 and 4K/60, depending on the Roku and the display. But a general refresh rate setting doesn't exist. Roku players default to 60Hz. As you noted, they do offer a auto-adjust method, but that is also dependent on the display/TV supporting the native refresh rate of the media. Depending on your location, 50Hz is not always supported by the displays available.
