All the Roku devices with an HDMI port are "HDMI out". (Send the audio and video signal to the TV).

The same holds true for the older Roku Express+ models (3910) that contained both an HDMI port and A/V connector. (Allowed users to connect to older TVs that did not have a HDMI port.

As such, you cannot plug any device into the HDMI port of the Roku device.  This port is strictly for the HDMI cable that connects the Roku device to the HDMI port of a TV.
