Can’t get past the loading screen

Question

My stick just keeps showing me the spaceship and then going black. I unplugged it from the power source and the TV twice and then plugged it back in but I’m still experiencing the same issue. I can’t plug it into a different port due to the design of my TV but that port definitely works. It’s plugged into an extension lead as there are no outlets on this side of the room. Could that be why, or is there something else I should be doing?

Ran into the same problem out of nowhere, found a solution that worked for me.&nbsp;1. Plug into a stronger power source.I plugged it into the wall, which somehow triggered a low-power screen to appear instead of the spaceship loading screen.2. Clear the cache.(This step didn’t work for me on the spaceship screen, but worked on the low power screen).Click the home button 5 timesClick the up arrow 1 timeClick rewind 2 timesClick fast-forward 2 times&nbsp;This caused my Roku to start updating. After that completed, I got a low-power warning that quickly disappeared and it returned to the normal Roku home screen. It worked when I plugged it back into its usual power source too.

How do you not know when the animation occurs?&nbsp; Your company added the animation recently, you should probably know about it.Since you obviously don't, it occurs when the device is powered up.&nbsp; In my case that happens when the TV is turned on since it is powered by the USB connection to the TV.This has never been an issue until the stupid spaceship animation started recently.The only solution that has worked for me is resetting the device which is a PITA since that means I have to re-register/reconfigure everything every time this happens.Considering multiple people have reported this issue, maybe you should turn off this stupid little cartoon until you figure out how to fix it.&nbsp;

I just signed up for the forums to find out about this issue to see you have properly explained it already. This animation/update is clearly the cause of this issue. Roku please get rid of the animation/update. This is extremely frustrating. I can’t even watch TV

Spaceship?&nbsp; Extension lead?&nbsp; I'm not sure what you mean by either of those, but if you're using the TV's USB port to power the stick, that could be causing the problem you're seeing.&nbsp; Try using the supplied USB power adapter plugged into a long extension cord if that's what it takes.
