That only lets you control the type of ads, not disable them. This is a bait-and-switch: the product that was reviewed and purchased in the market has gotten demonstrably worse for the customer after purchase for no reason other than a desperate cash grab. I've been using Roku devices since the Roku 3, I own four currently, but this is an intolerable business practice and if this is what's to be expected from a Roku product I'll be replacing them with something else and warning everyone against Roku going forward.
