Audio Sound from Roku will not work except on earplugs???

Sound only transmits thru earplugs??  will not play via regular tv sound?   Totally no sound.   I have turned off roku as in unplugged and unplugged from wall too!!      What in the world could this ...

    Hi 5910menorca,

    Thanks for the update!

    We highly suggest that you try the following:

    Restart your Roku device:

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
    5. Select System restart

    If the issue persists, try unplugging the Roku Ultra from your TV and check whether there is audio when playing without the Roku device.

I am using a Roku device 4670X......      This is happening on all channels but occasionally it will come in for a few seconds or 5 minutes and that is all.....just a fluke with or without earplugs.     The earplugs were only discovered from the upper right notice.   I normally never use earplugs.    I am disabled and having roku is a real Godsend to me.   I so appreciate your assistance and time.     I apologize for my lack of knowledge and tech ability.   I hope this has some answers.

    I have the same problem with my 43” Sharp Roku TV we never have used headphones for audio and cannot hear anything on any apps or Home Screen. We have restarted, updated, reset to factory settings, etc., nothing works. Any suggestions?

      Thanks for pointing this issue out! We really appreciate your help and just need a bit more info. Can you let us know if there's an external speaker connected to the TV? Also, does the TV show any pop-up message saying it's connected to a headset/earphones?
