    Press the * button on your remote four times or turn it off in the Accessibility settings.

The robotic voice interrupts the program to tell me what the volume is.  I can read it on the screen.  I don't want the robotic voice interrupting the program. how do i remove that?

marlee1, it's most likely your TV doing that.  Using its remote, look in your TV's Accessibility settings.
