Alexa not able to control Roku Tv

Alexa app is able to see Roku tv, have enabled skill. Alexa recognized the TV and will respond to my commands like "alexa, turn off bedroom TV" (which is what I named it in the app) with an " ok" but then nothing happens. this seems pretty basic, not sure why it doesn't work.
