After putting ROKU on input 12 fire tv always comes up to home page

I have a insignia fire tv and added roku to the HDMI 12 imput.  Problem I have is that turning the TV on it goes to the Insignia/Fire TV home screen and I have to navigate to settings/input/input 12 before I can get to Roku home page.  Anyone know how to short circuit this and get on directly to the home screen?  I tried Alexa voice asking for input 12 but it didn't work

    First, are you sure that's input 12?  I've never seen a TV with more than four HDMI inputs.  Second, if "1-touch play" is checked under Settings->System->Control other devices, pressing a button like Home on your Roku remote should cause the TV's input to switch to the Roku's if the TV supports it.  Finally, does the TV have a setting for which input it selects when the TV is powered on?
