Advice from those who have had Roku and Apple TV

I have a chance to get a new Apple TV 4K gen 1 w voice remote for $50 or a new Roku Ultra for 60. I'm mostly looking for ease of use and TV is not the most modern. Obvioudly I'm under budget constraints. Any reason to decide on the older generation Apple vs the newer Roku? I have no other Apple products. Any tips would be appreciated

    Especially considering no other Apple products the new Roku Ultra is a stronger contender.
