55 Roku select series TV screen went black

I had left the room with the TV on home screen on for about 45 minutes. Went into YouTube and tried to start a video. The screen went black, but there was still audio. I hit the home button and nothing changed. I have done a power cycle a few times and the reset button. Occasionally something shows up on the screen for a split second and disappears. TV is only a few years old.

  • I bought a Roku 55" Select Series TV in May 2023. The screen died 2 weeks ago. I have been round and round with customer service about it, but the response was that I have to pay for repairman to fix it. I spoke to some and they say the parts don't exist to repair it. Backlights should last 7-10 years, not two. Seems more like an issue you should own and do better instead of screwing your fans/customers.

With that being the case, plus numerous reviews online with the same issue, may I ask for a Goodwill replacement? Thanks.

We are having issues with ours going black 30-45 minutes in a program. Power still on to it. We have to turn off and back on. Happens over and over again. TV not even 2 years old. Only used for regular tv and Roku. Nothing else. Reading comments I feel like this is an issue with many tvs. I did trouble shooting twice today. Still doing it.
      Any recall info ?
