4k stick + audio button sticks up and down soundbar

I have a 4k + unit with a voice remote pro. It controls my lg sk6 soundbar. The sound bar is connected to my lg TV with audio sync.  The soundbar remote will turn the volune up/down in 1 unit  increments. The roku remote will sometimes do one unit at a time and others it will jump 20-30 for each press.  It's a new remote cause I thought my old one was sticking. So two remotes are doing the same thing.
