It will absolutely not work, I try changing to alternate internet connections like a mobile hotspit and a router and it wouldnt update, it keeps giving me the message Cant update software. Please try again later Error 004. I even try unplugging it and letting it rest and it still wouldnt work. Please someone tell me how to fix this problem.

The error message you've been getting is specific to issues with the router or the overall network connection. Do you happen to have other Roku devices? If so, does this issue also occur? Also, kindly try to hook your Roku device to another HDMI port and observe if there will be a difference.

Can I assume you're using WiFi? And if so, do you have a phone app like WiFi analyzer that can show you how congested the networks are? Its not at all unusual for people who aren't WiFi savvy to be using a WiFi channel that's highly congested. Knowing which channels are less congested often solves the problem though you'll need to know how to change channels/bandwidth settings too. If you're using the service provider's equipment, find out how to change settings etc.
I just posted a solution to my similar problem. Try deleting excess, unused apps from the Roku Home Screen. I had about 60 on two of my 3800x sticks (I had three other 3800x update fine, they had fewer apps loaded). I got them down to around 30 and tried again. Update went through. I think it is a memory space being full issue.
