“Adjusting position” won’t stop popping up on my screen

My roku universal remote won’t allow to do anything on my screen except for switch inputs and adjust volume. Whenever I hit an arrow button my screen just moves and I can’t figure out how to get out of adjustment mode and just watch tv.

    Roku universal remote?  Is it a universal remote that happens to work with Roku devices or is the remote actually from Roku?  All of the Roku remotes made in the last several years have a purple Roku tag on them.
