Will A Wired Doorbell Camera Run On DC Power?

I know it's a long shot, but my driveway gate opener runs on 24 Volt DC power.  Could a wired doorbell camera run on 24 Volt DC, by any chance.  🙂   Would I release the magic smoke if I tried?  🙂...

VelvetFoot, the wired doorbell camera takes 16V-24V AC, so 24VDC won't work.  You may damage the transformer in the camera and/or your gate remote's power supply if you tried.
