Using Home monitoring system

Is the $99 home monitoring system required in order to utilize other Roku home products? If not, which products don’t require then initial 99$ home monitoring system. Is it worth it to go with the home monitoring system bundle first?

    The home monitoring system (base station, contact sensors, motion sensors, and key pad) is its own system. Lightbulbs, cameras, doorbells all use WiFi.

     The HMS also uses WiFi but only for the base station, the contact sensors and motion sensor communicates via RF

Each Roku product typically functions independently, allowing you to access streaming content without the need for additional home monitoring equipment.

    Roku may have introduced new products or services since then, so I recommend visiting the official Roku website or contacting Roku's customer support for the most up-to-date information on their product offerings and bundles. Whether it's worth it to purchase the home monitoring system bundle first depends on your specific needs and preferences.
