Smoke detection with Roku

How do you set up your Roku for smoke detection?  Home monitoring says the monitor for it, but the site is somewhat vague (completely silent) on how to do that.

Keep in mind that it doesn't detect smoke.  It detects the sound a smoker detector makes when that smoke detector is set off, so you can't use it as a smoke detector that would be out of range of your current smoke detector.  I'm guessing there's a setting in the smart home app, but I don't have a camera right now that I can check the app's settings.

I'd be totally fine with that. I just need to know how to do it.

I don't have Roku at the moment, but am looking to get it.  I just want to know if this is possible and how so I can properly set it up.  The Roku site doesn't say how to do this.

        Hi Lighthope,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

We will be more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry that you have with the Roku smart home monitoring system. Please be advised that you can potentially set up a Roku smart home monitoring system to include a smoke alarm by using a smart smoke detector that integrates with the Roku system, allowing you to receive alerts on your Roku device if the smoke alarm is triggered; however, the Roku system itself does not directly monitor standard smoke alarms, so you would need a compatible smart smoke detector to achieve this functionality.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know if you still have any questions.

        Kind regards,
        John
