Smart Home App : two-factor authentication failing

I've downloaded the Roku Smart Home App and used the same email I've always used for my other Roku devices. Unfortunately, I'm not receiving any SMS for two-factor authentication. I've uninstalled & installed the app many times; my credentials are the same. My cell service works .

    Having trouble with two-factor authentication on the Roku Smart Home app? Here are a few things to try:

    • Act fast: Verification codes expire after ten minutes. If yours expires, tap "Resend code" or "Resend to email."
    • Check your cell service: If you're not getting text codes, make sure your phone has service and isn't in airplane mode.
    • Check your spam folder: If you're expecting an email code, check your spam or junk folder.

    I thought it sends an email, not a text message.
