Roku Smart Bulb flickering erratically (newly installed and paired)

The light bulb was paired successfully and was able to run an on/off rule that I had set for it.  That was for about 2 weeks, then the rule was disabled and able to be turned on and off with wall switch.  Now it will start flickering and changing light temperature after being on for several minutes.

Switching the bulb off and on again (both by wall switch and the app) does not fix the problem.  

Do I need to try to delete and pair it again, or is this a lemon bulb?

    Please follow the steps below and see if these work for you.

    • Delete the rule and create it again

    1. Open the Home screen of the app
    2. Tap the pencil icon from the navigation bar
    3. Select Edit rules
    4. Select the rule and make your changes
    5. To delete the rule, tap Delete rule
