Roku Outdoor Camera No Events Recording

I'm not able to view events from outdoor camera on my smart phone.

I have a subscription, but my floodlight camera is not showing the events as it was before my trial ended. Again I purchased the subscription. i have read through the community posts. I have tried resetting the floodlight. I have tried adjusting the detection area, the sensitivity levels. I still get no logs on the events.

I'm currently wasting money and don't have the security I paid for.

Please help

  • Hi mlm44,

    Thanks for sharing your concern!

We understand that your Roku Floodlight Camera event recordings and notifications are not working. We are here to help.

Let's see if this works for you.

    1. Update the Smart Home app and the camera firmware
    2. Check Detection settings are enabled
    3. Uninstall and reinstall the Smart Home app
    4. If the previous steps don’t work, you may need to reset the camera to factory settings.

For your Roku smart bulbs and plugs that are not following the Schedule, try deleting the Rule and creating it again. For more tips, click here.

Hope this helps, and let us know if the issue continues.

After your trial expired, did you remove the camera from your account/subscription and add it again?  I seem to recall reading that others have had to do that.

I'm having the same issue with my floodlight cam. Everything works except motion event recording and notifications. I've had the camera for two years and it was working fine until a few weeks ago. I've tried resetting it and reinstalling the app, but no luck. All the settings are correct.

I'm also having tons of issues with Roku smart bulbs and plugs not following their schedules reliably. It has become completely random with all of these devices. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

I've had issues on and off with Roku Smart Home for the past two years but right now they are on my s list. It's gotten really bad and it was working fine before this month.
